Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz have welcomed their new son Egypt Dauode Dean.
Reports confirm that Keys gave birth at New York’s St-Luke’s Roosevelt hospital late Thursday.
The couple wed July 31.
Back in May, Alicia Keys and her husband/producer Swizz Beatz announced their engagement and subsequent pregnancy, and now, the day has finally come.
The couple welcomed a new child into the world this … and it’s a boy.
According to reports, Keys checked herself into New York’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center on Thursday (October 14) and hours later delivered a baby boy, she and Swizzy named Egypt Daoud Dean.
Swizz Beatz couldn’t hold back his excitement, and shared with fans, via Twitter (@TheRealSwizzz), how happy he was late yesterday evening.
“I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww! #realtalk,” he wrote.
Friends of Keys and Swizz also chimed in on Twitter, extending their congrats to the new parents.
“I’m So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there New, baby, boy!!!!!!!” tweeted singer Mary J. Blige (@MaryJBlige).
This is Keys’ first child, while Swizz has three other children: two sons and one daughter. One of his sons is from his previous marriage to R&B singer Mashonda who he divorced earlier this year.
Swizzy and Keys married back in August in a small, private ceremony aboard a huge yacht on the Mediterranean Sea.
