DANCEHALL toasters Da’Ville and Demarco have joined forces for the single Blessings A Multiply, which they recorded on the Fashozy label.
They recently invited Splash to the set of their music video in Hughenden, where in-demand director Ras Tingle worked his magic and a super-busy team of behind-the-scenes assistants tried to keep up with the action – as the high-energy, kinetic beat and well-written verses provided an intoxicating soundtrack in the background.
“It’s a tune I started producing for myself and then I decided to just link up Demarco and he loved it because apprarently, he was experiencing the same things that the song was saying so everything just fell into place,” Da’Ville told Splash, explaining that the song is mainly about saluting the success you experience in the biz while sending a warning to the selfish detractors you encounter within the music industry – and life in general.
Demarco, one of the artistes scheduled to perform on the upcoming and highly-anticipated Dancehall Night at Reggae Sunfest 2008, agrees with his musical collaborator.
“Yeah man, is a mad tune. Mi love it and I think people out there will be able to relate to it,” he shared.
In the meantime, both artistes report that they are busy working on other projects, including daily recording sessions as they work to keep up with the competition in the industry.
Da’Ville is currently working on his yet-to-be-titled new album, which he promises will woo and even larger fanbase and satisfy his long-time loyalists.
