While many were busy celebrating the Christmas season up and coming dancehall deejay Kedon Whyte better known as Hitmaker was busy mourning the lost of his 2 month old daughter Nia-Paige who passed away on Christmas eve after suffering from a heart condition.
According to Hitmaker nothing could compare to the pain he felt in his heart during the Christmas season, “My daughter Nia-Paige Jaidyn Whyte was born on October 13th, she passed away on Christmas eve and is like mi couldn’t deal with the tragedy, It was the worst Christmas of my life cause even though my mother made the big Christmas dinner is like mi couldn’t even eat so I spent most of my time in the studio writing my heart out”.
In his new single dubbed “Live On” Hitmaker can be heard deejaying emotionally about the wonderful memories of his daughter but also admits the song is deeper than many may think. “Live On” is a song that I recorded not only for Nia-Paige but for all those who have passed and gone, its a song that cry for the people cause everyone has had some amount of experience with loosing a loved one”.
With no video to its credit Hitmaker is pleased the single has been getting radio airplay and online momentum. “Well honestly mi grateful for the support, despite being a brand new song “Live On” has already been widely distributed over the internet and through social networks like facebook and twitter with some of my friends often leaving inspiring comments to keep me strong and for that I am forever blessed”.
Currently signed to his own record label Hitmaker Muzik and managed by Pablo Productions Hitmaker says he will continue to deliver good music that will uplift the heart and souls of the people.
