Duane Howard & Jr. Kelly Enter Dancehall Charts At #24

Shortly after topping the IFUSE Magazine Charts with their crossover hit single “How She Like It”, New York based R&B prince Duane Howard and the local reggae veteran Junior Kelly last week enter Jamaica’s Weekly Countdown at #24 on the Dancehall Singles Charts.

Having gotten great reviews from several International and Caribbean based radio stations “How She Like It” is finally coming home to dominate with both the video and song in rotation. A host of major website including, out of Canada and have all featured the video on their web page while social networks such as Myspace, Facebook and Twitter continue to buzz about the Reign Time Records single.

In other news Duane Howard is currently working in studios on a solo follow up single entitled “Gimmie Your Body” said to be an Island Pop signature hit. According to sources who coined the original term “Island Pop”, the emerging genre of music which was previously referred to as crossover is a fusion on Reggae, Dancehall and Soca compositions coupled with mainstream pop culture melody and phrases. Elements of Island Pop can be heard in music from industry new comer Iyaz with “Replay”, Rihanna and Sean Kingston who have all topped major world charts.
