Etana collected two trophies at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) last Sunday in New York. The Strong One walked away with trophies for Best Female Vocalist and Best Album.
The singer was happy and humbled by the awards, saying, “everytime someone thinks of me and my work with such high regard that they believe I deserve an award, is just a humbling experience,” the songstress said.
Etana recently released videos for the songs Caltariba System and Blessings, which features Italian-born rastafarian reggae crooner, Alberosie. Both singles are from her debut album, The Strong One, which was released on the VP Records label last summer.
The singer is set to embark on a second tour of Europe this summer, returning to the island in time to rock the 17th annual Reggae Sumfest Festival in Montego Bay
