Ginjah defends Florida Immigrants

Reggae star Ginjah has tackled the highly publicized and controversial adjustments to the immigration laws in Florida United States that will commence in July 2023. The Never Lost My Way singer says undocumented immigrants in Florida are in a state of panic and it has slowed productivity in sectors such as construction and farming that are driven by labour from often undocumented immigrants from Jamaica, Mexico and Haiti.

“My people are in a state of panic right now because when this law takes effect in July you won’t even be able to drive in a car with an undocumented person. Not only can you get in serious trouble based on your status but simply aligning with an undocumented person can land you in jail. Considering the fact that many Jamaicans have migrated to Florida in search of a better life this is very concerning” Stated Ginjah.

The Sweet Killer opted to let his voice be heard by releasing a thought-provoking single entitled “Immigration” which was produced by Rapid Productions in collaboration with Sart Out Records and based on initial feedback from several musical pundits the reggae hitmaker may have found a new hit.

“The song powerful and everyone wheh hear it so far a seh it is a hit in the making. Ginjah has a golden voice and his writing skills are epic so I am not surprised by the feedback. We will be pulling out all stops to give him the support required” stated Rapid Productions.

Ginjah is currently busy putting the finishing touches to a new 17-track album as well as performing at various shows in the United States. Immigration is currently out on all major digital platforms.
