Jamaican Reality TV Series Signs Major Distribution Agreement!

5 Weeks into the debut season of the Reality TV series The Hardweares, a distribution company has signed the series to a major distribution agreement that will see the show going to Africa and Europe.  What began on CVM TV in Jamaica, the US (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) and Canada (across the country) has grown into a widely respected Jamaican / American program attracting global attention.

Adding more good news to the shows’ success comes the announcement that the series is also under review with a major US production company that produces shows like Zoe Saldana’s ‘My Hero,’ ‘Catfish,’ Tia Mowry’s ‘At Hoime’ and many others.  In addition, the show is also under consideration with a major television network in New Zealand.

Very early in 2016, the show will also air in 15 additional US cities including Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore as well as the UK.  “This is excellent news” says Emmy Award Winning Producer Angela Thame, Executive Producer of The Hardweares.  “Not only is the production company showing confidence in us, but the fans are too.  They are the ones driving the expansion.  The more they demand via social media, the more people are paying attention and in the long run, this is very good for the show and the industry as a whole.”

Based on the real life relationship between Reggae power couple Singing Melody (Everton Hardweare) and his Wife Ruby Robinson who together endeavor to build a mansion on the North Coast of Jamaica, viewers also see the everyday dynamics between the couple.  So unique is this format of television, fans in cross demographics are tuning in, surpassing expectations of the shows’ producers.

The Executive Producers of The Hardweares added “we are very excited to have created a show that is getting this type of attention.  We funded Season One almost exclusively ourselves.  Season two will begin taping in May, 2016 in exciting locations across Jamaica, the Caribbean, US, Europe and Canada.  “We would like to get enough sponsorship to remain an independent Caribbean production house delivering excellent, wholesome family oriented entertainment.  We do have the option of Crowdfunding season two which may give us the necessary infusion of cash to do just that.”

With a 13 episode season running from November 21st, 2015 to February 27th, 2016, fans tune in weekly to see an inspirational show of a couple building a dream and raising a family.   Singing Melody is a critically acclaimed and international singing sensation, and Ruby, his Wife, is an executive for a telecommunications firm.

The shows Facebook page picked up more than 9,000 fans after the airing of 5 episodes, and is receiving unprecedented feedback with comments like “if I had 3 thumbs that’s what I would give it all the way up,” while Shernette W says “this show is a must watch for me!”

Over the holidays the show will be on a two week hiatus returning on January 9th at 10 PM in all markets.  Viewers in Jamaica view the show on CVM TV.  It also airs in the Tri-State on Cablevision (Optimum) 1103, and in Canada on Bell Fibe Channel 661 and Rogers TV Channel 684.    Fans can also tune in to Sky Network in the US and MAS2 TV Video on Demand.
