Lady Saw chopped it up with VladTV about her fellow dancehall artist and collaborator Vybz Kartel being convicted and locked up for murder. Being that she doesn’t know any more about the case than the general public, Saw simply expressed that it’s a sad situation for all parties involved.
She went up to praise Kartel musically, saying he’s very talented in dancehall and is a perfectionist who can craft great music quickly.
When asked about the possibility of Kartel being an informant in order to receive a reduced sentence, Lady Saw simply doesn’t believe it. She also admits, however, that she was in the States when most of the drama around his conviction in Jamaica went down.
