Lord Jamar: Mandela Was Controlled By the White Man Behind Him

Lord Jamar sat down with VladTV and shared his thoughts on Azealia Banks’ Hot 97 interview where she claims white people have “culturally smudged” black traditions, with Jamar agreeing wholeheartedly, saying smudging is just the first step before a cultural is completely erased.

He also shared his thoughts on Nelson Mandela, saying that while the great leader helped end apartheid, racism and discrimination still exists within South Africa and that he was a bit like the Obama of his day, in that he was a black man who was “controlled by the white man behind him.” When asked if he respects Mandela, Jamar says he definitely respects his convictions, but feels his ex-wife Winnie was the real revolutionary.
