AMERICAN singer Ne-Yo says he will be staging at least two parties in Jamaica over the Emancipation weekend, adding to the mix of social events planned for that holiday period.
The party series, being staged by his company Compound Entertainment, will be held under the theme ‘Come Feel The Rhythm’ on July 29 and 30 in Negril.
“I will be coming back to Jamaica… for a series of parties which will be officially introducing Compound Island,” Ne-Yo, who is in the island for Caribbean Fashion Week, told the Observer in an exclusive interview yesterday.
According to Ne-Yo, serious partygoers will not want to miss the series.
Asked what patrons can expect at the series, he quipped: “What can they not expect?!”
“At Compound Entertain-ment we bring the total party experience. We put on THE party,” he said.
The kick-off event on Friday, July 29 at Boardwalk Village is yet to be titled. However, the event on July 30 has been labelled ‘Pajama Party’.
As the name states, partygoers are expected to attend in nightwear.
“There are two more parties in the pipeline, but those have not yet been finalised,” he said.
A singer, songwriter, composer and producer, Ne-Yo has produced three number-one albums and sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. He has also done collabs with some of music’s best.
So Sick, Sexy Love, Miss Independent, Single, Know Your Name and Crazy Love are just some of the singles he has delivered.
