No Kartel-Russian rift – Deejay also says Jah Vinci still in Empire

Deejay Vybz Kartel has cleared rumours of a rift between himself and producer Russian, as well as those circulating about his Portmore Empire member Jah Vinci.

Speaking with THE STAR yesterday, Kartel clarified that despite rumours of a rift between himself and Russian everything is good between them. When asked about a rift, which had been circulating on the Internet he said, “Russian a mi pickney”. When contacted, Russian said he had got numerous calls from persons asking about a rift, but said, “there’s no beef, and websites put up a lot of things to call gossip.”

Earlier this year, the two collaborated together on the hit Straight Jeans and Fitted, the first deejaying debut of the young producer, Russian. According to Russian, new material from his Head Concussion Music, featuring Kartel will also be released soon.

Speaking about young singer Jah Vinci, who is signed to Kartel’s Portmore Empire, Kartel said everything is good between them as well.

Jah Vinci has been quiet on the music scene of late with persons wondering what had been up with him. However, Kartel said, “we just drop a song wid me and Jah Vinci called Leadeth Me. Word on the streets is that Jah Vinci is not in Empire or that me have him inna me basement a clean me clarks, so this collab will kill all attempts at rumour’tism’.”
