Sean Paul's So Fine to be released this month

The new single So Fine by Sean Paul is the most downloaded reggae/dancehall song in France, Canada, Belgium, Norway and Sweden but it still has not been released in the US the biggest music market.

iTunes, among the internet’s most popular online music stores has So Fine charting in those five nations but it is void on the US online charts. Currently Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds at number one and Serani’s No Games at number two are the top downloads on US iTunes.

Sean Paul’s manager Jeremy Harding told the Observer that the single would be released before July in the US. “We are just getting radio rotations first before we release it. And it should be released in two weeks in the US.”

The album is slated for an “August release date” he added.

So Fine has also landed on Billboard’s R&B Hip Hop Singles & Tracks tally, as So Fine, the preview to his upcoming album, debuts at number 90. It is Paul’s 13th entry on that chart.

Though he has topped the Billboard Hot 100 three times before, Sean Paul has only had one chart-topper on the R&B chart. He reached pole position with Get Busy in 2003.

A recap of Sean Paul titles to have hit the R&B chart include Deport Them, Hot Gal Today, Gimmie the Light, Get Busy, Like Glue, I’m Still in Love With You, Temperature, We Be Burning, (When You Gonna) Give it Up to Me (with Keyshia Cole), Baby Boy (with Beyonce), Breathe (with Blu Cantrell) and Come Over (with Estelle).
