Spragga Benz plans to push a positive message with a new single called More Life that features an all-star cast.
The song, which is the third single from his upcoming album Shotta Culture, was produced by Salaam Remi. Previously released singles are Livication and Who Inna The Middle.
It features Stephen Marley, Jah Cure, Queen Ifrica and Sizzla. Spragga Benz said the aim is to put a positive face on dancehall music.
“The title speaks for itself. We just want more life, less negativity. We trying to put a more positive image on dancehall ’cause over the past few months a just pure negativity,” Spragga Benz told THE STAR.
“We a try see how far dem ago push the positive that we send, ’cause we see how far dem push the negativity. This is quality stuff and we feel the message can really connect with everybody.”
He said he felt the emotions of the artistes who were a part of the single. And, he said he wanted the artistes to fully express themselves so the song is now almost six minutes long. Spragga said there are more persons to be added to the song. But instead of making it even longer, he plans to do another version with other artistes, while using the same hook.
In addition, he said, he will use More Life as the title song for his show, Life Fest, next year. And, a video for it might be released in January. He said the album should be out by March.
