“She was such a sweet child. I only met her once but instantly fell in love with her spirit. She was so talented and her performances were always on point. She had that crossover thing about her and so I was always telling people about her. I am at a loss for words,” said Saw.

Other artistes took to social media to express their condolences.

On her Twitter page, Spice noted: “OMG R.I.P Jordan. Words can’t explain how sad this news is making me feel right now.”

Alaine tweeted: “Walk Good blessed sister. #spiritneverdies #Sincerecondolencestoherfamilyandlovedones #Jcapri #restinpeaceandlove.”

Tifa also tweeted: “Sing with the angels doll.”

J Capri’s last major performance in Jamaica was on Dancehall Night at Reggae Sumfest back in July. She is best known for the songs Reverse It and Wine and Kotch.
