Brooklyn-native rapper Lola Brooke is here to take over the game by Storm in her latest video “Here I Come”. Caution, dont play with her petite stature, she packs a lethal punch in her music.

While the 718 Princess has been rapping since the age of 8, 2022 has been a milestone for Brooke: Her super-catchy single “Don’t Play With It” racked up 2 million+ streams on Spotify; dominated four stages at SXSW; stunning performance at Rolling Loud, and on the heels of her performance of the song on YouTube’s performance series From the Block, she went viral.

During a recent interview with BET, Lola Brooke explains how where she’s from is pivotal to her musical makeup.

“Brooklyn itself is a big thing for me. In Brooklyn, they say that we confident. We love to tell you that we from Brooklyn and we’re like really proud Brooklyn natives. So I’m so proud to be from Brooklyn that it’s like I’m just the ordinary Brooklyn girl,” she explains. “So I’ll put it in my music because that’s how I know how to express myself. I’m growing up around older people that’s around and I’ll see how they express themselves through they fashion, the way they talk, what they eat. So I just put it into my music and use it as a weapon.”

In 2023, Lola Brooke says she wants to do more shows and even be involved with a possible tour. As for new music, expect a full project from her. No official release date yet, but keep it locked.
