Kingston, Jamaica:-PanCaribbean’s Sigma Corporate Run 2011 is hoping to raise $15 Million for the Victoria Jubilee Hospital’s Neo Natal Care Unit. This was announced at the launch of PanCaribbean’s Sigma Corporate Run, which took place at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel January 18th. The event, which is in its 13th year, will partner with The National Health Fund (NHF) and Reggae Marathon to hold Jamaica’s largest road race on Sunday, February 20, 2011. The NHF has donated $3.5 million to aid PanCaribbean in the organization of the event.

Walkers, runners and persons in wheelchairs will participate in this 5.6k (3.5mile) race starting at Knutsford Boulevard and ending at Emancipation Park, New Kingston.

The PanCaribbean charity event continues to focus on the health and welfare of Jamaica’s children. As such the Victoria Jubilee Hospital – Neo Natal Care Unit will benefit from the proceeds of the Run. Over 730 babies are delivered monthly at Victoria Jubilee almost four times that of the University Hospital of the West Indies, with the overwhelming majority from the most challenged socio-economic level of our country.

Tanya Miller, Vice President, Group Marketing – Pan Caribbean Financial Services Limited, has called on Jamaicans to support the initiative. She said “The Victoria Jubilee Hospital has served many families over the years and needs the nation’s support to ensure continued growth and development in the quality of health care and the service capacity of the Neo-Natal Care Unit.”

Registration for corporate, non-corporate and individuals is now open, and closes on Friday February 4. To register, visit the PanCaribbean website at www.gopancaribbean.com or call 1-888-CALL-PAN.
