Fast Rising international Reggae sensation Yung Lion has many reasons to smile of late because he is booked for the coveted Reggae Sumfest 2024 and he also has a new EP set to be released in a matter of days. The 19-year-old singjay says he feels very excited about the prospect of sharing the Sumfest stage with the likes of Babyface and Beres Hammond who headline the international night that he is booked for.
“Words cannot express how grateful I am to god, my team and to everyone who made all this possible. My career is growing at an alarming rate and I am focused on making all the people working hard behind the scenes proud. I am a complete artiste and I plan to showcase my full range at both my EP launch in Kingston and at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay. Jamaica look out the lion ago roar” stated Yunglion.
Yung Lion creates hybrid sound by merging Reggae, Dancehall and Hip hop
Yunglion’s EP launch is slated for April 26, 2024 at the Twin Gates Lounge (TGL) in Half Way Tree Kingston and is expected to be well attended by industry players and fans. Dubbed “Lion Up” the EP is said to be a melting pot of different styles and sounds. According to Yunglion he is very proud of this body of work and has high expectations for the project.
“Lion Up captures a little piece of my soul musically and represents some of my best work thus far. I am very pleased with it and I can’t wait to share it with the world” stated Yung Lion.
Currently, Yung Lion is busy doing rehearsals and last-minute preparations for his EP launch as well as promoting his new singles entitled “I Don’t” and “Bun”.
