Just one month after its official release with visuals, Canadian fashion model, actress and recording artiste Aneesa Badshaw’s single ‘Tik Talk’ is getting some attention in the Dancehall space.
The Guyanese-born and Canada-based singer released the track as a pre-curser to her EP to be completed later this year. The beat, built and produced by Jamaican producer Blaqk Sheep, was what first inspired Aneesa.
“When Blaqk Sheep sent the riddim, the Arabic-like sounds and overall tone of the track gave a strong sexy vibe. I wanted to match the energy of the beat and I think I totally did that,”
Aneesa explained
The artiste, who has been recording music for more than four years, believes that the topic of the song is what is getting fans interested thus far.
“Anyone that loves relationship surprises, suspense, and pleasure would enjoy this song both male and female. I also wanted to cement myself as a true artiste that is continuously pushing the envelope with every song,” Aneesa added
Fans who have seen the visuals for ‘Tik Talk’ have agreed that Aneesa has tastefully pushed the provocative envelope and has delivered a colorful and sexy scene to compliment the audio as well.
Written by Shavon “Csavi” Wilson, the ‘Tik Talk’ single speaks about two persons making a connection in the club. Their connection on the dance floor is so strong it’s as if they’re making love in the club.
With the ‘Tik Talk’ single already gaining traction in the Dancehall space, Aneesa and her team are focusing on the additional promotion of the track as they work on completing an EP.
