Former world record holder Asafa Powell won the men’s 100m at Saturday’s (May 2) International Meeting Region Guadeloupe here at the Stade de Baie-Mahault in Guadeloupe.
Powell, who went in search of the season’s first sub-10 time, fell short with 10.08 seconds. Diondre Batson of USA was second in 10.21 and Jamaican Winston Barnes, third in 10.35. Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis finished 4th in 10.42.
