Cassidy spoke with VladTV about the harsh life sentence laid down upon Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel recently. After the sentence was announced, allegations began to spread that Vybz was cooperating with law enforcement in order to possibly lessen his sentence. According to the Jamaica Observer, Vybz helped police pinpoint the whereabouts of several wanted individuals in Jamaica, and also helped them locate a variety of illegal firearms.
Cassidy believes that not snitching “is the realest thing you can do,” and he holds the grit and willpower it takes to not snitch when facing the pressure of possible life imprisonment on a higher level than the inner strength it takes to “pull the trigger.”
Cassidy relates the allegations set against Vybz to his own past case where he was facing life and also the death penalty, and how he managed to remain silent despite having all sorts of deals being thrown at him to snitch in exchange for his freedom.
