Chelsea crushed 10-man Arsenal 6-0 at Stamford Bridge in their English Premiership clash, as both sides continued to stake a claim for the title. Arsenal could have went ahead when French striker Olivier Giroud was through on goal but he wasted the opportunity, and the Gunners would live to regret that miss. Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o scored on four minutes after the Blues pounced on a mistake in midfield by the Arsenal. It was 2-0 from another mistake by Arsenal, and this time Andre Schurrle scored. The home side pressed Arsenal again, and Eden Hazard’s shot in the box was going wide but Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain pushed the ball out using his hand. The referee pointed to the spot but showed a straight red card to Keiran Gibbs despite protests from the Arsenal players. Hazard made it 3-0 from the spot with just 17 minutes gone in the match. Brazilian midfielder Oscar made it 4-0 from a Fernando Torres pass with just three minutes of the first half left. The second half saw Chelsea maintain pressure, and Oscar doubled his tally to make it 5-0 after 66 minutes.Second half substitute Mohammed Salah was put through on goal and he calmly put the ball into the net for 6-0. The points standings at the end of the match sees, Chelsea on 69 points, and Arsenal in third on 62.
