Dancing is the heart of dancehall says Ink Surgeon

Fast rising dancehall artiste Ink Surgeon is urging fellow dancehall artistes as well as music producers to stick to the root of the culture by ensuring that they produce more dance driven music. According to Ink Surgeon the world loves our dance moves, our fashion and our culture on a whole as such songs that are geared towards getting people to dance will always be more appealing to the wider world.

“I think when putting a song together with the aim of creating a major impact locally and internationally we as artistes must ensure that we deliver content that will drive people to the dance floor. Too many new dancehall songs are about hype life, badness and badmind we need to get back to the root of the culture so we can stream more and be added to more international playlists. That is the only way the industry will grow because it is a supply and demand based field but the problem is we are supplying the wrong content. The people want to have fun so the more happy music we put out the better off we will be” Stated Ink Surgeon.

The dancehall deejay who is also a well established tattoo artiste says he is quickly gaining traction mainly with female dancehall fans since the release of  his latest single entitled “Gyal A Bubble” which has been getting much love from the dancehall fraternity on social media. According to Ink Surgeon this song was created with female dancehall fans in mind.

“The ladies love me because I am bringing back the dancing vibes which is a key component in music. It has been a while since the girls get a song to bruk out to and obviously its working because the girls dem already a gwaan bad pon di gram” Stated Ink Surgeon.
