Jamaica Meets Nigeria “One Time” Remix feat Soulful Nigerian Singer Lola Rae, Nigeria’s own Multi-Award Winner Patoranking & Jamaica Dancehall Duo RDX.
The past few years have boasted impressive collaboration between Jamaican based reggae and dancehall artists with their counterparts from the motherland. As Africa embraced dancehall and reggae, the music genre has exploded with breakthrough stars who have gone on to sellout stadium and rack various awards.
One such collaboration teams up the soulful sensual and sexy Lola Rae, a Nigerian-born singer and dancer of Ghanaian and British descent on her P2J Music and True Blue produced “One Time” remix featuring dancehall dynamic duo RDX, and major multi-award winner, Nigerian native reggae and dancehal star Patoranking. The latter collaboration blends the traditional dancehall vibes with the Afro-influenced sounds of Africa’s dancehall. The feel good song has already taken social media and worldwide airwaves by storm, and is in line to be “it” summer song.
Speaking on the remix, producer True Blue explained “When I was approached to do this remix I wanted to create an authentic sound; a unique collaboration where people would question why? And it would be answered by how well all the artistes on the track synced together. It’s about uniqueness, creativity and talent and putting it together perfectly. RDX always delivers and that was why they were chosen, Their vocal abilities are what sets them apart and always makes them current and this is the main reason they worked so well with Lola Rae and Patoranking. As a producer you should work with artistes based on their skill not just solely on hype. Thats why the ultimate decision was made by all involved to chose RDX and Patoranking on Lola Rae’s official remix to give the world a different, exceptional sound and it works effortlessly”
Distributed by 21st Hapilos Digital, “One Time” remix will be on sale April 28th, 2017 and is available for pre-order.
