Fast-rising dancehall artiste Jmovemence is upbeat about his chances of becoming a household name in 2023. The singjay says he has been steadily moving forward in the industry despite the common challenges that come with being an uprising artiste.

According to the artiste he has been getting regular radio rotation in the United States, Africa and Europe but his focus is now on capturing the Jamaican market with the release of his latest single entitled Tight Space.

Sometimes a king does not get crowned in his hometown first but a king will always reign so I am encouraged by the fact that I have been getting regular features and dubs internationally and I know it is just a matter of time before I lock down Jamaica the real way. Born Jason Ford the Portmore native says music has always been his passion and he grew up listening to legends like Beenie Man, Bounty Killer and Buju Banton while crafting his sound. His musical development was also advanced by working with several producers from various parts of the world including UK-based PCP Entertainment, Reggae Selecta UK along with Dj Barber, Vytek Records and Chalice Beats.

“Every producer I have worked with has added something to my musical depth because I am an artiste that listens and one common notion has always been to keep my songs melodic and catchy. All my musical mentors have commended me on my ability to find unique melodies and in my view Tight Space is the perfect example of that. Currently, Jmovemence is busy promoting his Tight Space music video as well as in-studio recording for several top-flight producers.
