The return of Sting to its original home at JamWorld in Portmore, St Catherine gave its fans hope for great performances throughout the night. One such performance was an unexpected guest appearance by the talented singer, Khristopher.

Though it seems he’s been quiet for a while, Khristopher has always been busy working on his music. Most recently, he’s been promoting tracks he’s released this year but being called up on Sting’s 40th anniversary stage on December 26 was the highlight of 2023 for him.

Previously, Khristopher had been booked to perform at Sting alongside Delly Ranx in 2000 and was successful, receiving rave reviews from attendees. It was now during the set of Jigsy King which gave Khristopher his second stint at the popular one-night event. Tony Curtis from L.U.S.T went up to perform first though, then on walked Jigsy King, who then called up Nitty Kutchie followed by the confident Khristopher. All four went back and forth performing their hits. However, Khristopher got the female patrons excited when he performed two of his hits, “All I Have” from the Hurricane Riddim and “That Way” from Headache Riddim. Persons could be seen and heard singing along to both songs.

Khristopher had changed the spelling from beginning with a ‘C’ to ‘K’ in order to distinguish himself apart from other ‘Christophers’ in the Reggae and Dancehall community. Also answering to the moniker ‘Singry’, the artist started his own label in 2005 of the same name, Singry Records. He began producing his own music alongside Dretegs from Reggae band Royal Khaoz, including “Heartbeat Away” featuring prominent French house music producer David Guetta, “No Wey Nuh Betta” and “This Christmas”.

Khristopher has been gaining traction with “Friends” and “Love Yu Self”, both distributed by Tuff Gong international, but with the stellar performance he gave at Sting 2023, it’s evident that this talented artist should not be overlooked. Songs with Tony Curtis and Tony Rebel are in the pipeline as well as a love song slated for Valentine’s Day 2024.

Let’s join Khristopher on this phenomenal Journey as he builds on this current momentum he created with his impromptu appearance on the greatest one-night Reggae show in the world. Follow along on Instagram as Khristopher sings his way into our hearts.
