Sophia Squire, known for her songs Rat-A-Tat, Nuh Gunz and I Love Everything About You (alongside Lutan Fyah), has been confirmed for this year’s Reggae Sumfest.

Squire, who is slated to perform on Friday, July 24, Sumfest’s International Night 1, will share the stage with a number of musical top-guns, including Jazmine Sullivan, Queen Ifrica, Jah Cure and more. Needless to say, the artiste, who came to prominence as a solo act two years ago, is excited about her upcoming performance.

“There are so many things going through my head right now,” she laughed. “This will be my first time on Sumfest as a solo artiste. Before, I was there with people like Luciano, Lutan Fyah and other artistes as a background singer, so it’s a real change to be taking the spotlight by myself on such a magnificent show,” she said.

Adding: “There’s no doubt that I’ll bring my A-game, because locally people are not that exposed to me, but in Europe and parts of the US, my songs do quite well; so I can’t wait to show locals and, of course, international fans, who will be here what I can do.”
