THE third anniversary of Strictly Addi is scheduled for Sugarman’s Beach Club in Portmore, St Catherine, on June 25.

According to organisers JEM Entertainment, the event — an ode to incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel’s music — has an air of anticipation about this staging.

“There is a unique nature about an event such as this. Unlike most beach parties that begin during the daytime and end in the night, Strictly Addi gates will be open at 9:00 pm and is non-stop, high-energy until it ends at 2:00 am,” said ‘IB’ Konteh, director of JEM Entertainment.

“The entire venue will be transformed, from the Addi-themed cabanas to the stage. our major sponsors, Clearsound Jamaica Productions, has something special in store for everyone. Our Gaza-themed cocktails — Summer time, Call the Ambulance and Blue Whale, will also be something that will be talked about even after the event,” Konteh continued.

Despite serving a life sentence for murder, Kartel’s (given name Adidjah Palmer) music remains popular.
