Dancehall duo Twin of Twins is now celebrating the success of their latest single, Padlock, which pokes fun at the high-profile relationship woes of dancehall artistes Gully Bop, Foota Hype, and Beenie Man.
Padlock alludes to Gully Bop’s recent altercation with ex-girlfriend, Shauna Chin, during which a padlock was used to hit Gully Bop in the head.
Padlock was produced by UIM Records, and has already gone viral on social media, raking up thousands of views online.
“I feel good, but we didn’t make the record with expectations, we just make music and everything fall into place. People in England, Europe and Africa have been reaching out to us, and this is by far the most viral song in dancehall right now. From the year start, no song nuh buss suh big yet,” Patrick Gaynor of the duo told THE WEEKEND STAR.
Padlock sees the Twin Of Twins sampling the melody veteran dancehall artiste Tiger used for his song, When.
Meanwhile, Patrick Gaynor’s book, Road to Zion, has been shortlisted by Amazon as one of the best books of 2015.
