Uncle Murda Shot, Refuses To Cooperate With Police
Rumors were circulated on the net over the last few days that Uncle Murda was shot in the head. Well today it is finally confirmed that Brooklyn rapper Uncle Murda was shot in the head on Tuesday night (Jan 22) while sitting in a parked car.
The27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Leonard Grant, was grazed by abullet around 10:30 p.m. during a shooting on Linden Blvd. in East NewYork. Sources says that Murda was not seriously injured. Murda only suffered a minor graze wound.
There are now reports that Murda called Wendy Williams’ show on NY radio station WBLS followign the shooting to announce that he was recovering nicely, using “Hennessey ad Newports” to ease his pain.
After successfully releasing mixtapes with DJ Green Lantern, the rapper is now signed to Roc-A-Fella records and plans to release his official debut sometime in 2008.
This is what Uncle Murda Manager had to say ” The police know about as much as you know, nothin’, Uncle Murda don’t deal with no police, he deals with the streets. We don’t talk to police.Though someone may have tried to kill him, it’s business as usual for the rapper. His manager said he’s in the studio every night, just like he always is and didn’t stoprecording until the wee hours of this morning.”
He acting like getting shot is not serious, cause he still doing interview and radio. Hmm…I would be scared as shit, but he just keep it moving. Does his name Uncle Murda has anything to do with this? Let hope this shooting has nothing to do with rap, it all entertainment, or is it?
