Tonight will be a night of triple celebrations for the king of the dancehall who will not only be celebrating, deejaying and promoting his own show, Beenie Man’s Sizzle, at the National Stadium, but will also be celebrating his birthday and wedding anniversary to deejay D’ Angel – who will be on the show.
The ‘doctor’ isn’t worried about the numbers of persons that will be attending the show, as he knows that his family will definitely be there a “150%” to celebrate his birthday with him.
A family man, Beenie says he always has time for his many children despite being a busy man. “Yah man, I spend time wid ma kids, dancehall work on weekends, rest of di week a me and dem,” he said.
As for the situation between Beenie and his estranged wife D’Angel, who were married three years ago tomorrow, the deejay was reluctant to say anything on the subject of whether the two were getting divorced or not. He disclosed, “Mi wife is on di show to and it’s our third in marriage and our third anniversary, Marco Dean a three this year.”
According to the deejay, he gets to spend a lot more time with his young son and says Marco Dean is 150% like his father. He said, “He (Marco Dean) is doing beautiful, a di next Beenie Man, him start sing already.”
The deejay has also embraced the role of grandfather after his then 17-year-old daughter gave birth to his first grandchild last year. He told THE WEEKEND STAR, “Everything alright wid ma daughter and her child. A mi dawta yuh know so mi haffi spend time wid dem.”
