Fast rhyming leader of the J.O.P camp Sheldon Lawrence more popularly known as Aidonia has been confirmed for and will be performing at the highly anticipated summer edition of the popular daytime event “Rapids” set to unfold on Sunday July 11th on the sands of Waves Beach in Portmore. The event which is title sponsored by Appleton Jamaica Rum is back for the second time since Rapids Heatwave the “Easter Edition” was staged a few months ago.
Aidonia who is regarded as one of the best lyricist in dancehall is expected to give a memorable performance thanks impart to a string of hits which include “Step Inna The Streets”, “Tell Me” on the Premium Riddim, “Cyah Done” on the Sex Appeal Riddim by Chimney Records and more recently the Equiknoxx produced tune “Jack Hammer” on the Jim Screechie Riddim.
With Appleton 2 for 1 mix specials available all night promoters of the event are promising patrons the usual good music and fun they’ve come to expect from an event which attracts an estimated 2000 patrons each year. “Well this summer as you know belongs to the Fifa World Cup so we plan on having a big screen TV on the beach so patrons can enjoy the match. This is the first time we bringing Rapids to Waves Beach so we have gonna make it extra special for the loyal fans of the event”.
Admission to the event sits comfortably at $800 for Pre-Sold tickets and $1000 at the gate while all ladies will have the opportunity to enter FREE before 6pm. Musical juggling at the event will be anchored by Mr. Fullyloaded himself Tony Matterhorn, Z J Chrome, Renaissance, Supa Hype, Chris Diamond from Code Red and Richie Feelings.
