Alliance rolls out in US this weekend

It’s an extremely busy weekend for members of the Alliance, who are running the Dancehall now with smashes like Mavado’s Mock and Toast, Chase Cross’ Better Days and many more.

Having made huge strides in the mainstream recently, Mavado and Serani are appearing on the two biggest urban events this summer in the North East of the United States.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday night, Mavado and Serani will be at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, for Hot 937’s Hot Jam 8 concert.

Having struck a chord with listeners with their songs No Games and So Special, Serani and Mavado are the only dancehall acts billed to appear. International acts include Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, Day 26, newcomers Kid Cudi (Day and Night) and Jeremih (Birthday Sex).

Serani is appearing at an after party in the West Indian Social Club in Hartford the same night after the show. On Friday night, Bounty Killer will be in action inside Club Amazura, Queens, New York. Saturday night will see the Alliance rolling into Boston’s Club Lido for another show featuring Bounty Killer, Mavado and Serani.

On Sunday, Mavado and Serani will take the stage inside the Giants Stadium in New York. Bounty Killer’s Scare Dem protégé, Elephant Man, is also on the bill alongside Jadakiss, The Dream, Mary J. Blige, Young Jeezy, T-Pain and Friends and the Dipset Crew.

“Its the first time that HOT 97 has advertised dancehall acts so heavily for Summer Jam,” said Julian Jones-Griffith, manager for Mavado and Serani. “HOT are even running ads just featuring the dancehall artistes! It’s a giant step for the music and is certainly a culmination of all the hard work we’ve put into trying to break dancehall into the mainstream over the last year, after many artistes have put in the foundation work before us.”

Capping off a busy weekend for the Alliance, Bling Dawg, Flex and KipRich are all on the same bill in Atlanta, at Club Intrigue, aka Club Aquarius, on Saturday night.
