It was in October that rising reggae singer, Bar-bee, released the music video for her Dean Fraser-produced single, Feel So Good, to much acclaim.
The video, which was directed by Ras Tingle, captured the essence of the song and showed Bar-bee and her Dance Xpressions dancers in many moods, varying from playfully sexy to sophisticated.
It was sweet music to Bar-bee’s ear when the video captured Video of the Year in Hartford, Connecticut.
It was while the singer was on the final leg of the Feel So Good promotional tour that she was awarded at the I’m A Star reggae music award show in that US city.
A jubilant Bar-bee, in accepting her award stated, “I am so elated at the video’s success and would like to thank everybody who worked with me — especially my ‘momager’ — to make this a reality,” she said, smiling. “But this is just the beginning, there is a lot more to come,” she added.
Closer to home, Feel So Good is also steadily climbing various Jamaican charts, holding the number one spot on Hype TV Video Top Ten Chart and has reportedly become a favourite on social networks, Facebook, Myspace and twitter.
