Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel at it again

Deejay Bounty Killer and his former protegé, Vybz Kartel, have once again resumed their lyrical insults.

After a brief pause from exchanging diss songs for a few weeks, the deejays have once again traded lyrical shots as the biggest local clash show, Sting, approaches.

While this time last year lyrical exchanges were being bantered back and forth among a number of deejays, this year, the clash scene has been relatively quiet. However, last week Bounty Killer disturbed that lull when he unleashed the song Gaza …. and Drag.

In the song, the veteran deejay, who has openly said he plans to lyrically clash Kartel anywhere the two meet, takes aim at Kartel and the Portmore Empire as well as old rival Beenie Man.

Bounty approaches the song in a humorous manner starting off the song as a conversation between himself and fellow Alliance member Iyara. Bounty accuses Kartel of boring his tongue and declares, “Alliance crush out di Gaza.” Bounty also makes fun of Portmore Empire members Shaun Storm, Papcorn, Blak Ryno, Indu, Lisa Hype and producer Notnice.

While Kartel claims that he will not be clashing with Bounty Killer at any time, yesterday he released his counteraction to Gaza … and Drag titled Nuh Bore Tongue. In the song Kartel denies having pierced his tongue saying, “a joke dis caw dem nuh even in our league. Ground gal yuh fi know sey yuh outdated, yuh antiquated, yuh belated.”

On the website youtube.com, in under a week, Bounty’s Gaza … and Drag has got almost 7,000 views. Yet the songs have been getting mixed reviews, with one person commenting, “Why did Kartel think he could diss Bounty Killer and get away with it. He woke up a monster. U a go dead a sting.”

Another person commented, “this man (Bounty) need to stop DJ and cut grass because he can’t kill the Gaza.” Others have called Kartel’s counteraction lame and have supported Bounty.
