(Kingston, Jamaica) After close to 2 months of patiently awaiting their reward the winners of the 2nd Annual Cari Vibez Video Web Awards were finally presented with their crystal globe towers last Saturday evening at a small ceremony held on the grounds of Stanley & Empress Boutique.
The presentations were carried out by members of AXE Media and D Events who assisted the New York based Cari Vibez TV with organizing the Jamaican Leg of the award distribution.
Amongst the winners in attendance were International Male Dancer Of The Year Chad “Global Bob” Torrington who also took the title in 2010 followed by Collab Video Of The Year winners Mackie Conscious alongside Taddy P for their “Leave The Crumbs Alone” music video directed by Road Block Films and finally Director Avant-Garde winner Chris “Icey Jace” Campbell who edged out last years winner Jay Will by some 40 votes. Campbell shot a host of videos in 2010 including QQ & Chedda “Cleanest”, Ishawna “Legendary” and the chart topping Want Yuh Body Remix video from Leftside and fast rising female deejay Mystic.
Other winners at this years Cari Vibez Awards include I Eye who won the Breakout Video Of The Year category, Lady Saw for Female Video Of The Year, I Octane for Male Video Of The Year, Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor for Producer Of The Year, Kim LaQueen for Female Dancer Of The Year, Alborosie for International Video Of The Year and Drastic Sugary Waistline for Soca Video Of The Year. The beautiful Crystal Globe Tower weights in at approximately 5lb’s and is 9 inches in height, 2.5 inches in width and 2 inches in diameter.
