It’s only the third day of 2017, but it looks like we already have our first rap beef of the new year. Soulja Boy started beefing with Chris Brown on social media on Monday night after claiming the singer threatened him for liking a photo of his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran on Instagram. The war of words between the two artists escalated quickly with Soulja Boy eventually challenging Chris Brown to a fight and Chris Brown referring to him as “Officer Soulja” and calling him a snitch.
Tran had not responded on social media Tuesday. Her representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
By Tuesday morning, Soulja Boy was trending on Twitter and fans were placing bets on who would win in a fight.
One Twitter user wrote: “I think Chris Brown would win in a fight with Soulja Boy.”
