Denyque at Christopher's Live This Thursday

KINGSTON, JAMAICA: It’s true. Jamaica’s supergirl and fast-rising singing sensation Denyque will perform live at Christopher’s on Thursday September 16, and promises that the set will be “something really exciting for my fans and music lovers”.

‘Supergirl’ as she is often called, (which coincidentally is her title song on the City Life Riddim produced by Jeremy Harding) has been extremely hot this summer being in the studio with a number of producers working on different projects, including opening for veteran songstress Nadine Sutherland on a one-month tour this past May.

“Touring gave me the opportunity to work on perfecting my stage craft, execution and delivery, and understanding various audiences,” she says about the experience with Nadine Sutherland, before adding that the tour “taught her alot”.

“Let’s make this a night of live music to remember! Everyone should just come out, listen to some great music, chill with your friends and have a good time,” Denyque implores.

Her song Summer Love took Jamaica by storm this past summer and when the much-anticipated video dropped in July it created waves. Featured in prominent local video charts, Summer Love was recently added to the UK’s top 20 Reggae charts.

“Denyque takes pleasure in making great first impressions, and this is the first time she will be performing at Christopher’s and we know that crowd are a real music-lovers and has a sophisticated appreciation for great music. She will ensure that even the most discerning patron is left musically satisfied,” said the singers’ manager Jade Lee.

She lamented the fact that live music events and platforms are getting fewer in numbers, but stressed that they remain integral to the development of Jamaican artistes and music.

“It’s sad that events like these are now almost few and far between. It’s really wonderful that Christopher’s and the team behind this event understand the great thing that live music is and what it is about,” Lee commented.

Denyque will be live inside Christopher’s on Thursday, September 16th. Christopher’s is located inside the Quad Night Club on Trinidad Terrace, Kingston, which hosts live music events every Thursday.
