The event is set to climax with Destra, who due to pregnancy and a new bouncing baby, missed the carnival season in Trinidad and Tobago, but is set to give it her all at Bacchanal Jamaica’s Mas Camp.

Born in Laventille, Trinidad and Tobago, Garcia is known to the masses for her powerful voice, high-energy performances and eccentric fashion style.

In 1999 Roy Cape took notice of her single entitled Ah Have A Man Already with the group Third Base and invited her to join the Roy Cape All Stars Band as one of the lead vocalists.

By late 2002 she joined Atlantik band and forged a successful songwriting partnership with Kernel Roberts, churning out hits such as Wha Yuh Want, Negative Vibes and Bonnie & Clyde.

In 2003, Destra released her first album Red, White, Black which included her hit duet It’s Carnival with fellow soca artiste Machel Montano. The song became the virtual anthem of Trinidad and Tobago carnival that year and is widely known throughout the Caribbean.

Entry for the event is general $1,200, while the 24k Experience which includes choice drinks, a special entrance, access to private port lets, front stage viewing for showtime and parking at the adjacent lots, is $2,500.
