With all his worries now behind him, the artiste is already in a no-nonsense mood about several aspects of his life such as his music, his company and his goals.

Speaking with THE STAR recently, Deva Bratt said, “To the people that thought I was guilty, I don’t blame them because people believe most things that they hear or see, but really and truly it’s not everything you hear or see is how it guh,” he said.

But for all the artistes who launched lyrical assaults his way, the deejay had these few words to offer: “I have no problem with them because lyrical wise when a man gets the chance to tarnish your career, that’s just how it goes. All is fair in love and war,” he said.

He continues to search for brighter days, however, as his Krucial Konflict label has been working closely with a number of established and young producers, as well as young artistes, in an effort to make good, quality music.

His attitude towards music has also changed as he says he is willing to work with almost anyone, even ex-Portmore Empire members, Ryno, Kym and Lisa Hyper.

“Yeah, it’s possible enuh because as mi seh, it’s a breath of fresh air. The way I used to think then in the music industry is different from how I think now. It’s better to be neutral than one-sided, it’s better to be wise and knowledgeable than stupid and ignorant,” he said.

When asked whether or not he would ever think to reconcile and work with deejay Vybz Kartel, he gave a resounding no.

“Anyone who I am going to do a song with, they have to know where they are coming from and where they are going. What they’re all about. If to gain the world by doing a song with him, I would remain the poorest man in the world. Dem man deh personality gone gone, dem man deh nuh believe inna God enuh,” he said.

Do This, Green and Yellow, Paper Chase, Get Drunk, Real Idiot and Hold Di Faith are among some of his recent songs as he tries to avoid gun lyrics and do more positive songs.

“Right now, mi a hold off a di gun lyrics and just working to get my music out there again like one time. I don’t have all the contacts for the disc jockeys, so for like dubs and rhythms, etc, they can send them to me at devabratt1@live.com and devabratt1@gmail.com,” he said.
