The grounds of Jamaica House in Jamaica are expected to come alive this evening as doctors and friends take to the stage to raise funds for the Jamaica Cancer Society.
This will be the third staging of the event, which was first held in March 2009, and featured doctors and renowned entertainers in live performance.
This year the entertainers will be Tessanne Chin, Tami Chynn, Alaine, George Nooks, Lovindeer and Fab 5 among others in concert. There will also be performances from medical personnel including Dr Michael Abrahams, Dr Winston De La Haye, and Dr Aggrey Irons.
The Jamaica Cancer Society hopes to raise $23 million of it $63-million budget through fund-raising activities. If raised, the funds will be used to support the education, counselling and screening work of the cancer society.
