Fabolous + Fat Joe Urge To Ross To Ignore Prison Guard Past Jibes

Rappers Fabolous and Fat Joe have come to the defense of fellow hip-hop star Rick Ross – urging him not to be concerned with jibes over his alleged past employment as a prison guard.

An image of the Hustlin’ star, depicting him in a correctional officer’s uniform, recently circulated online, along with payroll documents allegedly showing that he had, indeed, worked as a correctional officer despite his denials.

Ross, who boasts about his drug dealing past in his rhymes, claimed the photo had been doctored.

And now his fellow rappers have come out in force to urge their peer to ignore the negative comments being made about his supposed past.

Fabolous tells MTV.com, “I don’t know if it will really hurt him. As an artist, I think Rick Ross makes great music. He’s always shown me love and respect whenever I met him.

“Everybody has a past. I think if he continues to do what he does, sweep all that garbage under the rug – you know what? That’s success. All of a sudden past pictures come up. He should just keep doing what he do.”

And Fat Joe – real name Joseph Cartagena – has also offered his words of support to Ross: “He’s a great dude. He’s my friend. We’ll just wait to see what (else) he has to say about it.”
