When the masses heard that fashion’s hot spot Grandeur was about to “lock shop” and move, there was hushed excitement as to where the new location would be, and what they will offer at the much improved location. Opened for just under a year and already business has caused for a location change and increase in stock the proprietors of Grandeur must be pleased with where business is going at this crucial economical time.

The re-launching of Grandeur

It was in March of this year that they first opened doors and exposed Jamaicans to great shopping deals and like consumer affairs capped their prices at no more than JMD$4,000 on any particular item. It was this ‘madness’ that got the attention of many of Kingston’s socialites and party goers to find just what was going on at the new store. With no strings attached and no flattery these prices have been maintained since the start of business which could have been seen as a marketing ploy to trap buyers however trapping buyers they have done but never increased their prices.

Items found in Grandeur are one of kind pieces which are sourced all over Europe and Asia and taken back to Jamaica for sale by the owners of Grandeur. What one has to admire about this team is their eye for fashion. As there are no items in the boutique you would walk buy without looking at or consider walking out with. Tesi Johnson and Ricardo Barrett have definitely found a market and sticking to it both well known in the fashions and entertainment worlds of Kingston and now they go to people for all those hot party, college ,weekend and special occasion casual attires.

The new location has caused major traffic on the plaza they are now located as 7th Avenue plaza was once quiet and not much movement but Grandeur has opened great opportunities’ not only for themselves to increase sales and visibility but also allow for the random shopper to stop by next door and check out the other boutiques that some argue crave for foot traffic. Its without apology that one can safely say ‘let the competition begin’ as Shop #12 has finally opened for business. For a bit more detailed direction, they are located above Little Tokyo Restaurant and if one stands at Tru Vale hardware store that’s a perfect view of the boutiques location.
