I-Octane for Linstead leg of All-Island Carnival

Reggae sensation I-Octane will grace the stage of the All-Island Carnival, when it reaches the town of Linstead this Sunday, March 27 at the Tru-Juice Sports Complex. The wildly popular singer joins soca star Oscar B and former Magnum Kings and Queens’ of Dancehall contestant, Tanto Blacks as the diet of live entertainment for the travelling soca fete.

Title sponsored by LIME, the Tristar Entertainment team says that the Linstead leg of the event will be “spectacular”. According to director Julius Morgan, “on Sunday, we’re gonna ‘tun it up’ inside the Tru-Juice Complex, and we’re expecting one of our biggest crowds yet”.
The Clarendon born I-Octane is undoubtedly one of the most popular and sought after acts today, which drew the attention of Morgan and his team. He will bring with him his arsenal of chart-topping hit singles, such as Lose A Friend, Inna Dem, Min’ Who You A Dis, Puff It, I Ah Cry, Study Yuh Fren and more.

Tristar Entertainment says that the reggae act performing at the carnival event isn’t contradictory, but instead helps them to bring their vision to life.

“LIME All-Island Carnival is about bringing people together. We’re looking on the national platform, and looking at what can make a carnival event appealing to even more people. That’s the vision we used to create our formula. Carnival is about celebration and a celebration that everyone can enjoy. That’s why we approached I-Octane, and we know that persons will turn out to have a great time,” Morgan said.

Morgan says that this instalment of the event is called ‘Socawukup’, and the entertainment package will be completed by “tried and tested” disc jockeys who understand how to work the turntables at the LIME All-Island Carnival events.

The energising ‘party animal’ Kurt Riley leads the pack of skilled turntable manipulators that include the affable DJ Charm and the talented Urban Legend sound system. The LIME All-Island Carnival lands in Linstead on Sunday March 27 at the Tru-Juice Sports complex. The rolling fete has already been to Kingston, Portland and St Thomas, with events left to happen in Negril, Ocho Rios, Montego Bay, May Pen and St Elizabeth and its sponsors include LIME, Smirnoff, Tru-Juice, Pepsi, Calico Jack, Grace and Suppligen.
