Intrestt Impressing Industry Players With Authentic Dancehall Sound

In an era where “trap dancehall” is arguably more dominant in the local music market one new talent has emerged with the original style and delivery reminiscent of the nostalgic 90s dancehall era.

This artiste is known as Intrestt, a witty young deejay who has impressed many musical pundits with his vocal prowess including the legendary King Jammy’s who recently recorded an album with this extraordinary talent.

According to Intrestt he is adept at delivering any genre of music but he has a great appreciation for the 80s to 90s sound.

” I am a well rounded artiste and as such I can deliver great sounding music on any type of beat regardless of how it requires me to flow on it. However I prefer the original sound because I was raised on that sound and in my view that is the sound the wider world wants to hear coming from Jamaica” Intrestt stated.

Born Davion Bent, the entertainer plied his trade as a fisherman before deciding to answer the many calls from friends and family members to pursue music full time. That decision quickly started to bear fruit not long after he was signed to USA Based record label Caliber Muzic which has been guiding his career since.

The label recently released a raunchy collaboration with labelmate Cherry Rose entitled “Under Deh” which has been making the rounds on social media as well on mainstream radio in Jamaica and the United States.

Intrestt previously gained notoriety when he remixed dancehall star Dexta Daps’ Breaking News hit which went viral and in the process opened many doors for the artiste including getting the chance to record a soon-to-be-released album for the legendary King Jammy’s Records.

Intrestt, who recently performed in Antigua and Montserrat and is currently promoting his buzzing collaboration with USA-based Cherry Rose entitled “Under Deh”.
