Jim Jones Turns Himself Into Police For Alleged Fight With Jay-Z Associate: Report

While most are just getting back to work and trying to stay committed to their New Year’s resolutions, Jim Jones’ first order of business in 2009 was to meet with police.

According to MTV News, the rapper had to make an appearance at New York’s 18th precinct to talk to investigators about an alleged incident that took place on Christmas Eve that involved Ne-Yo, and/or one of more members of his entourage at the Louis Vuitton store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

Details are still sketchy, but MissInfo.tv reports that members of Jones’ entourage fought with the brother of Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, an associate of Jay-Z’s who works for Ne-Yo.

Jones has yet to comment about the incident, and when MTV hit him up about it last week, he was tight-lipped. “I don’t wanna talk about that,” the rapper said. “Nah, we not doing that, let’s stop that right there. Let’s not do that. We above that.”

Also, MTV tried to get the official word from the NYPD Monday, but a representative said that no report of the incident had been filed.

Stay tuned for further updates.
