Kimberly Nain Explodes at Fashion Connection

Kingston, Jamaica – The inaugural staging of “Fashion Connection” on Saturday July 17, 2010 at the Palisadoes Go-Kart Track in Kingston, Jamaica played host to a number of local and one international design house showcasing their designs for summer 2010. Opening the show was upcoming Reggae/R&B/Dancehall songstress Kimberly Nain who was specially requested & subsequently invited to perform by Sean Due (Good Thyme Click Music Production, NY) & Ed Albowicz (SugarHill Gang Management) as an introductory presentation to Jeff Robinson (Alicia Keys & Letoya Luckett manager), who after her performance was surprised, excited and wanted more than just the one song performance.

Kimberly opened the show in fine style, performing a cover of Alicia Keys’ “Love Is Blind” single on a reggae remake of the instrumental by Nellie Roxx and mixed by Ernesto “X” Mitchell of Cashflow Records & Studio in a maximum of 3 hours on the day of the show. Styled by her personal stylist, Natassia ‘Tina’ Bennett in a yellow dress that’s reminiscent of a ‘barbie doll’, Kimberly Nain was a sight to be seen and a wonderful voice to be heard which set a wonderful tone for the evening.

The night climaxed with Kimberly Nain modeling the very last dress for the night, something of a ‘show stopper’ so to speak by international designer Niki Chin Couture from New York, USA. With cameras flashing and crowd cheering, it was a wonderful evening which gave birth to a new rising star on the scene, surpassing her previous “superwoman” persona and proving that she is far more than the title of “Facebook Sensation” given to her by her adoring Facebook fans.

Kimberly Nain & Nellie Roxx are currently working on re-writing & recording a reggae remake of the “Love Is Blind” single which was well received during her performance. Be on the look out to see Kimberly Nain play host of a new television show called “Sync” which will be aired on CVM TV and her new single “Tempted” is surely leaving her audience tempted and wanting more from Kimberly Nain.
