Konshens Rocked Barbados and Now Sets to Invade North America

Reggae on the Hill, took place at Farley Hill National Park, no doubts one of the largest Reggae festivals in Barbados, and by extension the Caribbean’s Region. Dancehall and Reggae newest rising star – Konshens got a chance to wet his feet, by being booked for the largest day of the three day festival, alongside veteran acts such as Beenie Man, Buju Banton ,Morgan Heritage and Queen Ifrica to name a few.

Konshens felt that the show was a great success for everyone, it begun on and ended on scheduled, it was also incident free, completely sold out, with crowds amounting to almost 30, 000 and more importantly all artistes who were booked showed up and performed great.

Konshens was highly anticipated as a result of his growing fan base formed by the success of his song “winner” in Jamaica, realized, however that the Bajan fans had another favourite “fair-weather friends”, which is seemingly unknown in Jamaica. Unlike the rest of the world which has locked on to the winner track, the Bajan fans seem to be addicted to fair-weather friends as it was so well received, he didn’t need to sing the song at all. The start of his set saw the fiery “rasta imposter” single which also quickly made the entire hill into a resounding choir.

He looks at the experience with much joy, as all his tracks were gobbled up by the receptive Bajan crowd with special connections in track like “don’t waste the talent” and a special treat for the ladies, when he went into the crowd to handpick A Bajan empress with the track “looking for me”. He after completing the shooting of his new single “ Young black & Powerful” on Wednesday, leaves to full is inner call on May 2nd in North America along with fellow artistes such as Laden and Dj Spice, Anticipates similar experiences .
