PRIME Minister elect Portia Simpson Miller today insisted that strict discipline will be the order of the day during her swearing in ceremony at King’s House, the official residence of Governor General Patrick Allen, tomorrow.

During a press conference at the People’s National Party headquarters at Old Hope Road in Kingston this morning, Simpson Miller insisted on order and discipline and ordered that no vuvuzelas or horns must be used. She also requested two over riding themes, sobriety and national unity.

The Prime Minister elect said she had mandated former energy minister Phillip Paulwell as chairperson of the ceremony.

No one will be admitted inside the venue without their invitation.

She said invitations are being extended to members of the political, business and academic community and an inflow of international presence, including the head of CARICOM and Prime Ministers from CARICOM, a number of congressmen and women and representatives from the diaspora, was expected.

Accreditation to international media will be given through the Jamaica Information Service and the service will be carried live on the electronic media.

Paulwell stated that some 10,000 persons were expected to attend.
