REDjet, the Caribbean’s Low Fares Airline is pleased to offer all current students at all campuses at the University of the West Indies (UWI) 2 FREE checked bags when they travel on REDjet.  In making the announcement on REDjet’s Facebook page and website, REDjet announced they are happy to be helping UWI students save even more money while they study for the future.

From Tuesday 01 November  2011, all current UWI students with a valid student ID card will be able to carry 2 FREE large checked bags up to 30kgs each. This is in addition to the 2 FREE carry-on bags already offered to all REDjet passengers.

Current Students will simply have to produce a valid UWI ID at check-in to be able to bring their 2 FREE large checked bags. The ID must be valid for the passenger travelling and correspond to the passenger’s passport information.

REDjet’s Communications Executive, Nyssa Pierre said of the initiative, “REDjet is committed to lowering fares across the Caribbean and this offer, going forward, will ensure that our regional students studying for their future as our leaders of tomorrow will save money when visiting family and friends. Having been a student myself, I can personally attest to the value that this will bring and REDjet is proud to be a part of this movement”.

REDjet is exploring partnership with other tertiary institutions across the region in time for implementation during peak holiday travel for Christmas.

REDjet encourages any interested students to join their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/flyredjet) or visit the website (www.flyredjet.com)
