Each year in mid-July, tropical Jamaica becomes the setting for the largest reggae concert festival and the hottest event of the year. This year mark your calendar for July 17th-23rd when Montego Bay will host the dynamic Reggae Sumfest.
Year after year there has been an all-star lineup consisting of big names such as none other than Chris Brown, Usher and Shaggy. They are accompanied by performing artists such as Errol Lee and The Bare Essentials, Brown Sugar, DJ Bambino, Mavado, I-Octane, Aidonia, Cecile, Chino, Etana, Tony Rebel and Gramps Morgan. Each day brings more surprises with it.
The event is made possible in part by the large corporations of Red Stripe Bold, Iberostar Hotels and Resorts, Digicel and Avis Jamaica. The Jamaica Tourist Board takes part as well.
To accomodate all the visitors from various parts of the world, there are hotels that partner with Reggae Sumfest to offer reasonable packages such as Holiday Inn Sunspree and Sunset Beach Resort and Spa.
There is an energy in the crowds that fuel the performers and every artist puts on a remarkable show to an exhilarating audience. You become caught up in the moment with all the excitement.
